Back to Michigan

At first I was hesitant if I could consider my return to my parents home as a wander–its near the holidays, coming home is what you do–but when I stopped to think about the fact that this is going to be the longest amount of time I’ve been home in 6 years, yeah, I guess it qualifies as traveling.

On my agenda:

-Read the books that I think I’m going to need to further my education (on the list right now, A Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion, a re-read of The Color of Water, and probably also a peruse of the Japanese Manga of my middle school years.)

-Meet with some old teachers.

-Spend time with my parents.

-Clean out my childhood bedroom.

I haven’t gotten my head around posts for India, Nepal, or Spain yet–but they’re coming. I’m processing. It’s been quite the year.
